About the Job

  • We are looking to hire four (4) very experienced and professional business strategists who specialize in writing winning proposals, business plans, pitch decks, elevator pitches, and financial forecasts for startups and existing businesses

. * We will provide you with tools and templates to make your job easier but that would not replace years of experience and quality research.

  • HuttWorks Limited offers business writing services like business plan writing, financial forecasting, pitch decks, and proposal writing for startups and established businesses worldwide.
  • In this position, you will help startups develop winning launch and growth strategies and convert those strategies into easy-to-read documents.
  • You’ll also be working with existing businesses to help propel their business to new heights through market research and insight.

Selection Criteria

  • You would be required to submit a link to your portfolio. We need to review at least three of your completed projects. It must include one business plan, one financial plan and one awarded proposal.
  • You would be required to sign a Non-disclosure agreement that ensures the privacy of our projects.
  • We work 100% remotely and our deadlines are flexible. Each project’s deadline will be communicated to you and we expect you to confirm your availability once a project is assigned to you.
  • We might also pair you with a designer to translate the final copy to world-class standards.
  • You must own a smartphone and be on Telegram. Our remote teams around the world use Telegram to communicate and schedule messages since we are different timezones. Applicants without a Telegram accounts will be automatically disqualified.

Who We are Looking For

  • Background in entrepreneurship, strategy consulting, finance, economics, or related fields preferred
  • 5+ years of experience writing and/or reviewing business plans, financial plans, proposals, and pitch decks
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Be a nice, normal person who likes working hard and having fun

Role Requirements

  • Understand how major stakeholders are thinking about near-term growth, generally and in reference to specific growth initiatives, through interviews with these stakeholders
  • End to end knowledge on writing proposals, identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs
  • Develop an understanding of the existing business (including products/services, customers, competitors, the overall market, and trends) through careful research and analysis
  • Build a detailed financial analysis showing all of the assumptions, drivers, and financial statements for the next 3 – 5 years, accounting for a conservative, base, and aggressive case
  • Conduct a total addressable market analysis for the business’ core market, assess major industry trends affecting the business, and describe what impact these trends may have on the business
  • Review research reports and conduct primary research to hone in on ideal buyer type and assess customer demand for the company’s existing products and services
  • Map out direct and indirect competitors, including potential future competitors, for existing and potential revenue channels
  • Define a go-to-market strategy, including testing out potential marketing channels (if applicable)
  • Review compensation plans and organizational structure to align incentives and ensure the health of the organization in the long-run
  • Maintain complete confidentiality and discretion

Skills and Qualifications

  • Financial management experience with planning, forecasting, and business analysis
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • 3+ years of practical experience of using Excel for building and maintaining financial models
  • Proficiency with analytical and presentation tools
  • A natural curiosity and a “big picture” mentality
  • Experienced in conducting market research, including analyzing and synthesizing research reports and conducting primary research
  • An understanding of marketing channels and go-to-market strategies
  • Excellent spoken and written communication
  • Comfortable reaching out to the team lead regarding questions
