Full-Time Investor Relations Officer (Fund Admin)
About Company: Our client is a leading International Private Equity firm based in Lagos that focuses on investments across Africa.
The Company is seeking to hire a Investor Relations Officer as Fund Admin that will work with the Investor Relations team to execute administrative functions for the fund’s operations, reporting and communication.
§ The Fund Admin role involves significant interfaces with the Fund Finance and Investment teams
§ The Fund Admin officer also liaises closely with the Fund’s offshore administrators to manage the outsourced aspects of the function.
§ Plan, process, follow-up and report on fund operations (capital calls and distributions) in compliance with fund agreements and using the Company’s eFront software.
§ Work with Fund Managers and Fund Financial Controllers (FC) to forecast fund cash flows and determine amounts for each capital call and distribution.
§ Coordinate interfaces with Firm and Fund Finance on Fund/ SPV operations
§ Work with offshore administrators to prepare board resolutions to approve fund operations
§ Prepare high quality, informative capital call and distribution notices.
§ Coordinate preparation fund quarterly valuations (in compliance with IPEVC guidelines) and Quarterly Investor Reports.
§ Preparation of investor capital account statements.
§ Maintain fund cash flows to track the Fund’s Gross and Net IRR
§ Preparation of fund waterfall and carried interest calculations.
§ Support preparation of relevant investor information and files required for year-end audits.
§ Assist with the preparation of investor and Funds information for regulatory filings and reports
Investment Process and Investment Committee
§ Manage the IF and IC process – organize meetings, circulate materials and document proceedings/minutes of the meetings
§ Work with offshore administrators to prepare board resolutions to approve investments and exits
Investor Relationship Management
§ Receive and respond to routine Investor queries’
§ Maintain up-to-date and complete database of investor contacts and relevant information
§ Support planning and execution of investor meetings and events
§ Document the proceedings/minutes of Investor and LP Advisory Committee meetings
§ Coordinate investor on-boarding and KYC documentation for new funds/LPs
§ Provide high-quality client service to investors.
§ First degree in Accounting or/and Finance related discipline
§ Masters/MBA or professional certification will be an advantage
§ 5+ year’s cognate experience in a Private Equity/Venture Capitalist firm
§ Experience and Knowledge of Financial Modelling and Business Valuation Reporting
§ Considerable fund administration experience
§ Professionalism and ability to win the respect of clients
§ Drive to make continuous improvements
Negotiable but starting from N9, 000,000.00 per annum
