AFOS Foundation seeks to hire a Project Coordinator to develop the concept and curriculum, facilitate the accreditation, and delivery of TVET for Poultry Technician, Agricultural Quality Technician, and Poultry Mechanic Technician profiles (in addition to other agreed profiles) for partnering agribusinesses. Establishing and coordinating TVET training under the Agricultural Training Centre; Coordination of NBTE accreditation for the TVET training; Developing, communicating and strengthening AFOS networks and their value-oriented culture. supporting the AFOS project team for events, symposia, platform meetings, and other training where relevant.

Job Description/Requirements

  • The planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of all project activities,
  • Organizing meetings and workshops to ensure project progress,
  • Initiating and supporting the selection process of appropriate service providers,
  • Coordinating the overall selection and contracting of training service providers including drafting service provider contracts for financial, legal, and final review,
  • Coordination and supervision of (physical) classroom, virtual and in-plant training e.g., technical, vocational and management training, etc., under the training centre,
  • Securing National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) accreditation for TVET training,
  • Linking the TVET sub-project with other project components where necessary,
  • Promoting vocational training as a critical tool for national skills development.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree, including strong academic credentials • At least 3 years work experience in agricultural engineering/agronomy
  • Some experience in project management and in multi-stakeholder engagement
  • Good knowledge and experience of agriculture
