Part-Time Sales Manager (Construction Machinery)

As part of the growth plan to increase its market share in Africa, the Company is seeking to hire a Sales Manager (Nigeria) with experience and deep industry background, and a strong customer base in Construction Machinery sales in Nigeria that will build robust distribution networks and set up key accounts for Nigeria market.
Job Summary: The candidate will be responsible for the implementation of Product Support programs and policies, and to ensure the achievement of agreed sales targets and performance objectives.
§ Field sales role, selling a distributed and manufactured range of equipment for predominantly the construction and groundworks market.
§ Promoting products such as wheel loaders, excavators, rollers, motor graders, bulldozers, and skid steer loaders, backhoe loaders, forklifts, pavers, cold planers, truck mounted and crawler cranes, mining dump trucks, crushing & screening equipment, drilling rigs, diaphragm wall grabs, multi-functional drilling rigs, trench cutters, aerial platform trucks, and crawler pipelayers.
§ Source and sell to key distributors and end-users such as rental businesses and construction/ groundworks contractors etc.
§ Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize margin and profit levels
§ Visiting old and new customers, prospecting for Parts, unit sales, and Service opportunities.
§ Prepare relevant quotations and/or tenders (accurate and complete to requirement), present to customers, arrange follow-up activities as desired, and ensure conversion to effective sales.
§ Ensure prompt delivery of parts or services (including back-ordered items) and corresponding invoices to engender customer satisfaction and early payment as they fall due.
§ Preparation and implementation of the execution plan and corresponding summary report.
§ Preparation and updating customers’ profile list.
§ Keep abreast of product/service information from us and related suppliers and ensure adequate dissemination to concerned employees and customers.
§ Promptly and effectively resolve customer complaints such as to retain their goodwill and confidence in the product, services, and the dealership at large.
§ Establish and report competitive activities and sales opportunities (for parts, units & services)
§ Implement actions that will ensure prompt and adequate conversion to the company’s products & services.
§ Implement relevant marketing and promotional programs as they arise.
§ Ensure prudent financial management and adequate maintenance/security of Company assets placed in the incumbent’s care by virtue of function and/or location.
§ A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the Engineering discipline.
§ 8+ years’ experience in a related role.
§ Proven track record of commercial sales success.
§ End-user commercial sales experience, ideally within construction & groundworks
§ Good commercial experience/ quite experienced with strategic outlook, able to identify growth opportunities within existing and new customers.
§ Product knowledge of construction machinery is required.
§ Comfortable dealing with key accounts clients and contractors or rental businesses.
§ Comfortable getting your hands dirty and physically fit and able to demonstrate equipment.
Guaranteed Base is BTW $1000 to $1,500 monthly + sales commission and other benefits.
