The Strategic Funding Lead for our client’s trust fund initiative will lead and drive institutional, corporate, government agency, non-profit and individual fundraising as part of the Trust Fund Initiatives. We are looking for a self-starter who can secure new strategic partnerships and manage Trust Fund Initiative’s key partners. This role will be responsible for leading the creation of successful funding strategies for project investment, identifying and researching new partnership opportunities for Trust Fund Initiative projects and campaigns, developing joint funding proposals with Our client, and winning grants in conjunction with the Trust Fund Initiative affiliates. The strategic funding lead will coordinate events and campaigns to recruit sponsors and ensure long-term organisational sustainability.

Requirements

  • Research potential donors to gain insight into needs, beliefs, and donation habits to understand how to position the company
  • Manage and coordinate Institutional and non-institutional Fundraising activities at the senior level
  • Develop and implement the Trust Fund Initiatives Institutional Fundraising strategy, both local and international
  • Steer proposal development processes, ensuring key staff are involved and are aware of their responsibilities
  • Secure funding commitments from local and international institutional and non-institutional sources
  • Contribute technical advice on funder requirements, and support proposal development, working with others to ensure high-quality, successful submissions
  • Represent the Trust Fund Initiative in Lagos State fundraising working groups
  • Be the contact person for the Trust Fund Initiatives external funding and Institutional Fundraising
  • Develop and maintain contacts with institutional and non-institutional donors, in close coordination with relevant senior stakeholders
  • Work in close collaboration with the Board, CEO, Campaigns department, Projects department, and Finance department to ensure funding is effectively secured and managed
  • Write speeches, press releases, and other promotional materials to increase awareness of causes, missions, or goals in seeking funds
  • Leverage technology and social media to drive funding awareness and strategies
  • Conduct risk analyses and balance time-cost ratios to focus efforts on fundraising activities that have the highest chance of success
  • Ensure that legal reporting and governance requirements are satisfied to ensure compliance he
  • Direct and supervise fundraising staff, including volunteer staff members

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Degree in Business Administration, English, Accounting, or related field

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5- 7 years in two or more of the following: Fundraising, Project Management, Corporate Governance, Reporting, Investment Appraisals, Deal Advisory, Performance Management.
